Norvin C. "Bud" Evans has served in three wars as a combat fighter pilot flew about 200 sorties. He retired from the US Air Force as Commander of Operations Test fighter at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. He flew 58 years as a pilot, 38 of which were spent as a USAF pilot and civilian test pilot. Bud held civilian positions: Director of Operations during flight tests vice president of flight tests, the manager of the western US marketing for a major aerospace corporation, Vice President of International Sales US steel company, the president and owner of full-service fixed-flight corporation Base and the consultant of the Pentagon for foreign military sales. He was also advisor to a number of foreign air force, and represented the United States performing aerial demonstration flights in international air shows, including performances for Belgium and the kings of Saudi Arabia. During his 58 years of flying career he flew 204 different types of aircraft, accumulated over 15,000 hours as a pilot. Its high flights were U-2 and its fastest in the F-15 "Eagle". He was awarded a 36 in the US and other decorations. He is also a member of the Society of test pilots, the most prestigious in the world of experimental group.
