The world in an era of great change. Globalization, transnational capitalism, 11 September, in 2008 the global financial crisis, as well as the appearance of # 8217; the second world # 8217; BRICS as a whole and, in particular, are characterized by the diffusion of power away from the traditional northern Western powers and the global South. Such high transformations have changed the topography and parameters of social, economic and political relations both at the national and global levels and to put pressure on coming out of the international order, in terms of both opportunities and constraints. This new era also calls on the need to re-understanding of the changing world order, particularly in relation to one of the main conceptual categories and analytical apparatus in the study of IR and IPE - hegemony. The world will witness a new era of interdependent hegemony, in which both the existing # 8217; World # 8217; appearing and # 8217; World # 8217; intertwined in a constant process of formation and restructuring of the international order in the intersection of the national interests, regional orientation, the general economic and political agenda, a political union, and potential conflicts. This collection of associates, from different perspectives and approaches, to discuss the political economy of the emerging world order, with a focus on emerging powers.
