Based on published collections and manuscripts from the Mantuan archives, Commedia Dell 'Arte and the Mediterranean is COMMEDIA Dell' Arte as a form of execution reflects its cultural crucible in the Mediterranean Sea. The study gives a broad view of the commedia dell # 226; # 8364; # 8482; dell'arte as an expression of diverse cultural, gender and linguistic communities in Italy during the early modern period, as well as exploring ways in which art form offers a platform for reflection on power and cultural exchange. Noting the prevalence of Mediterranean crossroads in the arte scenarios COMMEDIA Dell ', this book explores the way in which the actors embodied characters from around the Mediterranean region. The presence of the Mediterranean minority groups such as Arabs, Armenians, Jews and Turks within COMMEDIA Dell 'Arte is marked on the stage and "behind the scenes", where they were members of the creative process. In addition, the tender speech the first female actor took part in the "intermediate" Mediterranean using the female body as a canvas for cartographic dreams. Focusing on the different communities involved in the creation of the theater, the central concern of the book is the question of the dynamics of "exchange", as it materialized within a range of inclusive cultural cooperation, but also taxation and coercion.
