He was fifty years old at the time and wrote from experience, he considered as a pastor, counselor, and with his own family. So now he is writing on the other side of these decisions and adjustments and accommodations to be made. He was invited to hold a series of meetings for a group of elderly people in the local church. From these presentations and questions, this book was born out of the group. He learned that it was terrible in the room, confused and angry at the restrictions which, in their view of aging. His premise for this new book is that anyone can make a choice as to the person living in the last years of his life, and he gives practical and personal suggestions for do not take responsibility and live with purpose, regardless of age. Doug has improved in the first edition of this book, after returning to extend for one of the chapters of the second book edition.This ideal for those who are faced with the same problems, or for families who are trying to be a support for aging loved one. It can be used for group discussions at senior centers or senior ministries. He can bring hope and help to those who think that their best days are behind them.
